We’ve been through the second free practice of the Spanish Grand Prix, but we cannot possibly predict and it’s not worth predicting the finel order of the forces. In the lead we find the usual people, but the bigger surprise is caused by some of the team members who are quite separated from their teams.
Perhaps it is unnecessary to take the result of the second stage more seriously, we’d rather be dealing with some surprising events. For the record, this practice was also dominated by Mercedes, with Max Verstappen, who – just as usually – was lurking behind them. What is striking after them is the Daniel Ricciardo – Romain Grosjean duo, especially the presence of the latter one in the top 5 which is an unusual event. Even more interesting is the difference between the two of them (despite the different tactics) and their teammates, with a net difference of more than half a second before Esteban Ocon and Kevin Magnussen.
This weekend will once again be about tires and keeping them alive, which completely depends on weather conditions, in other words on Saturday, but more importantly on Sunday these weather conditions will be in the main focus.
