Happy Birthday, Formula-1!

Seventy years ago, on the 13th of March, a series has began which has now unquestionably become the most popular motor sport and one of the most popular sporting events on the world.

Over the years it has evolved so much that it may not be recognized by its own founding fathers, but some things remain the same: Formula-1 remains the fastest, most interesting, most mythical form of car sport series on the globe.

The FIA (International Motorsport Federation), formed after World War II, came up with the idea that the Grand Prix series, which was already taking place, could be turned into a world championship under a set of rules. This is how the foundation of the current racing circus was born, which has undergone amazing changes in the last 70 years, yet has retained its essence. The International Formula Number One today celebrates its 70th anniversary and we wish them at least three more times as much birthdays!

Below you can see how the greatest figures of the sport celebrated this remarkable day, in their unique different way!

On 13 May 1950, the British Grand Prix was held at Silverstone. It was the first World Championship Formula One race in history. Thank you, @f1! ❤️
