We witnessed emotional moments in Monza when the pilots said goodbye to the Williams family in front of the ears of the world. However, life doesn’t stop, another weekend and another race follows – and the team can’t be left without a leader.
For now, the solution is only temporary, although we’ve seen it in sports history when someone in a temporary post proved so effective that it solidified its place. We wish the same to Simon Roberts, who joined the Williams Team this year and has so far served as head of the technical/design and “implementation” department:

“I am very pleased that I was appointed to continue the management of the Williams Team as a team principal. It will be an exciting and new era in the life of the team and I look forward to being a part of it. We are motivated to take on the challenge, and our goal is that the Williams to return to the top of the grid.” – said Roberts, who could not stress enouhg that his mandate is a temporary solution.
