It was speculated for quite a time and recently the FansBRANDS blog made is public recently: Today the Renault F1 Team confirmed. We were not surprised at all by the fact that after a short break Alonso returns to the F1.
Although questioned but some, he is aware of his capabilities and skills and he is undoubtedly among the top three F1 drivers. He is very happy and very excited about 2021.
‘This is a great day! My bonds to Renault were always strong, we won two World Championships together. I was overwhelmed but I can assure everybody that I look only forward! The decision of my comeback was taken calmly. I am well aware of my skills and I am familiar with the Renault plans as well. The aim is to reach the top together.

I am very close to this brand and I proud to represent them again. I will do my best to teach the winning attitude to the team as well and I am ready for the challenges. I feel that after my break I will race in a more just Formula-1, which focuses on the racer, on equality among the teams and on the improvement of the global show. I am here and ready to roll!’ – stated the Spanish world star in the colors of his old, yet new team.
The decision of Renault does not impact only on Fernando Alonso, but it also means that Sebastian Vettel is very likely to take a break from the Formula-1, at least for a season.
