More and more magazine writers think that the future of the German world champion is hopeless but Jean Todt calls for peace. According to Todt this is not the moment of retirement and Sebatian Vettel will get the best out of this situation, as well.
In the past few days, conflicting news has come to light as to whether Vettel wants to compete with a mediocre track team, and then the said Stables have begun to explain one by one why the Scuderia Ferrari driver was not an option for them in 2020.
From Seb’s point of view it seems pretty clear that he either wants to pursue his carreer with a team that has a world championship technique, or…Several associates and professionals have gone all the way to saying: if he fails to get the coveted Mercedes seat, he can certainly retreat.
The president of FIA, Jean Todt believes these reactions to be exaggerated, and he even encouraged the reporter of Sky Sports, who interviewed him, to have a more positive view:
„Sebastian is one of the biggest names in the history of motorsports. I’d like to remind everyone that they’ve only announced that they’re leaving the Ferrari at the end of the season. I think he has a lot of other options, and I wish him the best. Whoever signs him will make a great decision, and in the long run, he might even become the president of FIA. You never know what tomorrow will bring!”- said mysteriously the sports manager.
