The six-time World Champion took a short break from fighting racism and used his social media profiles to thank the fans for their support from the last few months.
Similar to everybody else, Lewis Hamilton doubled his efforts for the purpose of preparing properly for the season to start next weekend. The racer has to face not only the seven month break, but also the new strange healthcare protocol and the lack of the fans. Probably the last thing hurts the British star the most…
‘We’ll do our best this season, in a year which is probably one of my tough years, if not the toughest one. Beside competing against each other, we have to face severe health related measures and the changes resulting from this new situation.
Thank you for all the positive messages and support sent and given to me and the team, these meant a lot to us, especially in the last few months. We will really miss you at the race, racing without fans is not fun at all, I am so sorry that all this happened.
We will be very lonely without our fans but knowing them in our hearts and in front of the screens will comfort us!’ – stated Hamilton who is well known for treasuring and returning fans’ love and appreciation.
