The Motorsport world has been talking about Max Verstappen’s success since last Sunday, the press, the fans and the professionals, all of them talk about the Dutch racer’s sensational racing.
But none of them weighs as much as Ross Brawn’s opinion. The technical director of Formula One just spent enough time at Ferrari with Michael Schumacher to boldly compare him to Max Verstappen:
“Max was amazing in Silverstone. He reminds me a lot of Michael Schumacher not only because of his tempo, his class but also his radio customs. I simply loved it when he contradicted his team and explained that he doesn’t want to be asked to drive like a grandmother. He was funny, but it also makes you think how much backup does this young guy still have in him. He’s got a lot of confidence, and his team has a lot of confidence in his instincts.
It’s nice to seethat the boundaries of Red Bull’s racing car don’t limit him: he’s got a genius sense for feeling every part of the machine, every movement of it. I remember when he was a rookie in F1, you could already see he was going to be an extremely exceptional driver. Today he reached the level we suspected at the time.” – the lead driver of Red Bull Racing was praised by the renowned expert.
