A few months ago it was a hot topic and now it is back: Should the FE overtake Formula-1, the possibility of a merger should be taken into consideration.
Alejandro Agag, the ambitious and high flying CEO of Formula-E considers that the time of a merger may be close and a repeated crossing of the Formula-E and Formula-1 roads may occur again. And when the time comes, it might be wise to…:
‘I am a huge Formula-1 fan, everybody know this. I have always been a great fan and I am convinced that in the future the everyday traffic cars and the racing cars will run on electricity. For the following 25 years, we as the exclusive owners of the Formula-E brand expect this in a position full of advantage. Obviously this will not happen from today to tomorrow, but I am sure that it is unavoidable.
Should the electronic engines rise up to the performance of the Formula-1 engines with internal combustion, playing in different leagues no longer will be logical. This will happen sometime in a future far away, but the moment will surely come one day. Anyway, we are ready for this cooperation.’ – stated Agag in his content rich statement. He has partners who are both Formula-E and Formula-1 shareholders.
What do you thing about such possible merger?
