It is almost unbelievable, but this week the Formula 2020 season took off. This year might be a true rollercoaster at the end of which Red Bull Racing might finish on top.
The Austrians are to step on the gas on their home ring, although unlike the other two great teams, they had no opportunity to test. The only testing possibilities were provided by the shooting days and they sure did not waste any time. Alexander Albon drove in Silverstone not only promotional circuits, but also ‘ran-in’ the developments planned by Red Bull Racing for the opening weekend.
Concerning Red Bull Racing’s and Max Verstappen’s possibilities and opportunities, Pedro de la Rosa stated that this year the energy drink team might easily obtain its desired success:

‘By knowing the background information, I can tell you one thing: This season will be one of a kind. Because of the delayed opening and of the races organized behind closed doors, 2020 starts a little on the slow side, however I am sure that we are to face a stunning year full of surprises and interesting moments. If I am to make guesses, I would say that Mercedes will be in great shape this year too, however I think that the greatest challenge will be posed by Red Bull.
Now they are stronger than ever and are ready more than never. However, Ferrari should not be underestimated at al. Although they closed their factories, they have worked a lot along the others and are preparing big for the Spanish Grand Prix. The pole position will surely be different from Australia.’ – considered de la Rosa.
